Wheelbase Motor Project

The OCR curriculum covers the following subjects:

Health and safety in the workplace
Structure of motor vehicles
Safe use and care of tools and equipment
Basic motor vehicle maintenance
Jobs within the motor vehicle industry

Each young person will also have the opportunity to achieve OCR units from Practical Work Skills and Learning Skills as well as a range of in-house certificates. These enable clients to certify their ability in such skills as welding and the use of various pieces of workshop equipment.

There are opportunities for the young people to work on a variety of real vehicles including the Wheelbase Minibus and Land Rover along with the grasstrack cars and a variety of motorcycles.

Clients who work hard and complete the OCR course at Entry Level will be able to work towards the ABC Level 1 Certificate of Motor Vehicle Studies.
